Submission Guideline
Students intending to prepare and submit journals for Bhartiya Samaj Shastra: The Journal of Modern Indian Sociology (BBS: JMIS) are required to follow the guidelines outlined below to ensure clarity, organization, and proper academic presentation.
1. Types of Submissions
BBS: JMIS includes the following types of academic work:
- Project-based Journal Entries
- Theoretical Write-ups
- Short Notes and Case-based Discussions
2. Journal Preparation
The journal must be written in clear, simple, and grammatically correct English. The recommended structure includes Title Page, About the Journal, Aim and Scope, Introduction, Main Content (Topics), Conclusion, and References (if applicable). The content should clearly explain sociological concepts, examples, and social issues in a well-organized manner.
3. Formatting Requirements
- Use neat and readable handwriting or typed format (as instructed)
- Maintain proper headings and subheadings
- Use margins on both sides of the page
- Diagrams, charts, or tables (if included) must be properly labelled
- Keep the journal clean, well-structured, and visually organized
4. Submission Process
- The journal must be submitted to the subject teacher within the given deadline
- The work must be original and prepared by the student
- Proper details such as Name, Class, Section, Subject, and Date should be mentioned on the cover page
5. Academic Integrity
Students must ensure that all content is original and free from plagiarism. Any information taken from books or other sources should be properly understood and rewritten in their own words.
6. Evaluation Process
All journals will be reviewed by the teacher based on content quality, presentation, understanding of concepts, and overall effort. Students may be asked to make corrections or improvements if required.
7. Final Submission
The final journal must be complete in all aspects before submission. Proper arrangement of pages (cover page, index, content, etc.) is essential for acceptance and evaluation.
